What is the Chapel Men’s Retreat?
The Chapel Men’s retreat is designed to draw all ages and stages of men together for a great weekend of camaraderie, inspired teaching, recreational activities and music. The annual retreat is held over a 3 day weekend in the fall within 3 hours from Williamsburg. Our past speakers include Dennis Rydberg, the President of Young Life; Doug Ferguson, the Executive Pastor of Menlo Park Presbyterian Church in CA; and our own Senior Pastor, Bill Warrick.
Who’s this for?
It’s open to men ages 18 and up, married, single, widowed, or divorced. You don’t have to be a member of Williamsburg Community Chapel. Come with your small group, friends, neighbors or come alone and we’ll get you connected.
What’s the purpose?
It’s a time for men to draw closer to God in the company of other men, to learn more about Biblical manhood, and to develop new and stronger friendships in a community of Godly men.
What can I expect?
You’ll find an informal, no-pressure atmosphere where men can feel comfortable and welcome. There’ll be great teaching, and opportunities to get to know other guys and to find ways to get plugged into the men’s community and other WCC activities. It’ll also be a chance for you to deal with some important issues in your life.
What other things are there to do?
On Saturday we take the entire afternoon to relax and recreate on golf courses, football fields, tennis courts, hiking trails, or whatever other activities you can imagine. This gives men a great chance to get to know other men in a forum outside of the retreat sessions.
What about financial help?
Financial assistance is always available for those men who request it. Please contact PAt Cummings or indicate on your registration form that you wish to be considered for a scholarship.
