Angel Tree
Every child has a story. For 1.5 million American children, that story is filled with the abandonment, loneliness, and shame that comes from having a mom or dad in prison. For many, it may also include following their parents down the same destructive road to incarceration. Angel Tree is a ministry of Prison Fellowship that find ways to reach out to children by sharing Christ’s love with them at Christmas and by developing year-round relationships. In the end, it’s so much more than giving Christmas gifts - it’s about restoring families.
Each Christmas, the Chapel community partners with Angel Tree by connecting Chapel-goers with families in need. Here are some ways in which you can be involved:
- October 12-23: Help take parents’ applications to qualify their children for the program
- November 8-29: Pick up an Angel from the Chapel Foyer
- December 1-13: Gift collection and distribution
