Elder Care

The Elder Care Life Ministry shares the love of God in practical and meaningful ways with those in residential life care facilities in our community. It is the participants’ privilege to share the love of Christ with the sick and elderly.

Our volunteer groups of all ages visit various facilities several times each month. Everyone joins together for a time of inspirational praise, fellowship, and “Him” singing. Volunteers make visits to sing hymns and praise songs and visit with residents according to the following schedule:

  • Tandem - every first and third Wednesday night of each month
  • Genesis Healthcare Facility - first Saturday of each month
  • Special events include Independence Day and Christmas celebrations.

Other Chapel attendees extend the same ministry to residents of other Williamsburg facilities (Chambrel, Patriot’s Colony, and Williamsburg Landing) on their own. These ministry efforts began before the formation of the Elder Care Life Ministry and are vital expressions of God’s love.
