Greater Things Sunday

November 6, 2011
Celebrating 35 years of building God’s Kingdom together! Praising God for His goodness today!
Looking forward to Greater Things to come!
In 2004, we set out on a journey to fulfill the vision God gave us for continuing to build His Church, one Living Stone at a time (I Peter 2:5). We patterned our journey after God’s prescription for generosity (II Corinthians 8-9). Cheerful hearts and unity—not a dollar amount—have been our measures of success. Since then, unity and cheerful hearts have prevailed. And last November, the Chapel family gave or promised all of the funds required to eliminate our remaining building debt by the end of 2013. This November, on the occasion of our 35th birthday as a church family and the conclusion of our Kingdom of God series, we will celebrate Greater Things Sunday to proclaim our gratitude to God, our commitment to finish the journey well, and our expectation that Greater Things await! It will be a memorable morning! After the worship service, come by the Student Ministries’ Worship Room for birthday cake!
To God be the glory! Great things He has done! And greater things are still to come!
Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even Greater Things than these, because I am going to the Father. -John 14:12
