2008 was a watershed year at Williamsburg Community Chapel. The slideshows on the right provide a glimpse into many memorable moments for the Chapel family in 2008. Click on the links within the text below to remember some of the highlights of the year through videos, personal testimonies of lives changed, and more.

We began the year in January with the introduction of the new Annual Theme, 2008: Standing on the Promises of God. As the construction of our new facility neared completion, the Chapel family was invited to write promises, prayers, and praisies on the Worship Room floor bfore the carpet was laid. These promises remain on the floor as a permanent reminder of our year of Standing on the Promises of God.

In anticipation of going “Over the Wall” into the new Worship Room, the Chapel family looked to the Weekly each week for the latest version of the Over the Wall Map to guide us through the move-in events of March. Watershed events in March were the commissioning of the former Worship Room as the new Student Ministries Worship Room (Hands Across the Wall), our “Triumphal Entry” into the new Worship Room on Palm Sunday, and our first Good Friday and Easter services in our new Worship Room.

  • Seventeen new Stephen Ministers added to our Stephen Ministry team
