2008: Standing on the Promises of God
“…He has given us His very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unfruitful in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
2 Peter 1:4-8
Each year, Chapel pastors and leadership develop an annual ministry theme that serves as the basis for the Sunday messages. The Annual Ministry Theme is also incorporated into many other ministry areas throughout the year.
This year, we will learn how to grow in effectiveness and fruitfulness as Disciples of Jesus by standing on God’s promises for our past, our present, and our future. We kick off the year with Standing on the Promises of Faith in January and February. May we find God’s promises sure and trustworthy as we grow together in 2008!
